QuestfortheBestNutButterPartII
Disclosure:  I received product from several companies for this post.  I also bought some of the products in order to do this review.  All opinions are my own!  🙂

I’ve been chomping at the bit to share this giveaway with you and this continuation of The Quest for The Best Nut Butters.’ I just can’t wait to get you all in on some of the delicious nut butter that one company sent to me to review. (Thank you Amanda for the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ space to share the nut butter fun.)

 Giveaways are one of the most fun parts (for me) of blogging, because I love being able to share with/give back to the readers who are constantly encouraging, building up, and reading each post.

Without further delay, we will plunge into the whole reason I’m doing the giveaway.  I’m still on the quest to ‘objectively’ try as many nut butters as possible and give you honest, thankful reviews on each one.  I hope you can find new ones, that we can share favorites, and that this would be a BLESSING to you and most of all give glory to God Almighty!

It took me a long time to get comfortable with eating foods with ‘fat’ again, and it took even longer to get through the mental battle that was associated with anything ‘high in fat’ or ‘high in sugar,’ but you know what has been the BIGGEST gift in recovery in the past year?

This may not make sense, but even if it doesn’t, I want to share it because it is just too wonderful not to share.

Realizing that God loved me and that nothing could separate me from His love is what fueled my desire for complete, victorious recovery.

These verses from Romans 8:14-18 have become really precious to me as I’ve been listening to one of the most awesome sermon series on Romans.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.’

 I fully admit that I can’t explain how I know that I am a child of God.  It wasn’t anything I did. It wasn’t any word I said or prayer I made, but God’s love has wrapped me up during this past year in times of intense emotional suffering, spiritual battles, attacks from the devil, and temptations, and I have learned that ‘if God be for me who can be against me?’

The power of God is amazing.  It’s not something any human can give to anybody, but God gives it, because God is God, and I am learning that He is this Father described in Luke 11:13, ‘If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?’

Wow.  God doesn’t always give me what I think ‘I need’, but He knows me so much better than I know myself, and I am SO grateful to be able to share that His love is real.  His love is a gift, and an undeserved, beautiful boon from the Lord.

Now, let’s talk some more of the ‘bestest’, most popular nut butters.  I have some popular ones and some ‘less popular ones’, and I will attempt, to give the best, most honest review possible.

I’ve even included a ‘video review’ if you don’t want to read the whole post!   You can watch my awkwardness on the camera and then scroll to the bottom to enter the GIVEAWAY!

EDIT: Nuttzo doesn’t have sunflower seeds, but the nut butter does have a stronger ‘seed flavor.’

Nuttzo - Nut Butter

1.  Chocolate Power Fuel Nuttzo (I bought this jar when Nuttzo had an EPIC sale.)  I’ve given away a few of the jars, but I reserved one to tell y’all what I thought…)

Nuttzo is um… interesting.   The flavor is INTENSE in a delicious sort of way.  I wouldn’t compare it at all to peanut butter, but I can see why people love it.

Why People Love It?

Chocolate Power Fuel Nuttzo is rich and flavorful.  It’s full of nutty/seed flavor, and the chocolate power fuel drizzles AMAZINGLY over your morning bowl of yogurt.

Would I buy it all the time?

I wouldn’t buy it all the time, because I admit that I’m definitely more of a peanut butter/almond butter fan. This has a stronger  seed flavor, and so it doesn’t appeal to my peanut butter loving ‘tastebuds’ as much. It’s also a bit more expensive per jar.  ($26.00 per jar of Chocolate Power Fuel)

Sponsored - Bliss Nut Butter

2.  Bliss Nut Butters!!!!!  – (I received 6 jars of these for a review.  Hint: I’m giving away 2 in an Instagram contest.   I’m also giving away 2 at the end of this post.)

Why I Love This Nut Butter?

First check out their story!   Daniell Bliss, owner of the company, told me that they aren’t producing with wind energy anymore, BUT, the nut butters are made with raw honey (YUMM), and they are this delicious blend of creamy and crunchy.  I’ve never had a honey/cinnamon peanut butter that is quite that scrumptious on a piece of bread.

Would I buy it all the time?

I think I would go back and buy Bliss Nut Butter semi-regularly, because it’s not super expensive per jar; it tastes good, and you can support a small business that not many people know about, YET.  I absolutely love seeing and helping small businesses grow and share their quality products, and I really believe that Bliss Nut Butters has come up with a really delicious high-quality product.  They even do ‘Hazelnut’ and ‘Sunflower Butter.’

Giveaway Post - Nut Butter (5)

We also used the WHOLE jar of the regular peanut butter to make some simple 5 ingredient peanut butter cookies for Bible Study, and they were readily consumed by hungry kids.

Don’t forget.  You can try a bit of these in the giveaway at the end of the post.

Sponsored - Nut Butter Nation

3.  Nut Butter Nation (I got the sampler pack sent to me by Grant, the owner of Nut Butter Nation in exchange for a review.  I included it in a recipe, but I thought it deserved a place in this one. I know you’ve seen me share this in a few posts already, but this nut butter is so good.)

Why I Love This Brand?

It is made with roasted peanuts, and I actually think that makes a difference. I’m no expert, but I’ve heard that roasting really serves to bring out the flavors of the nuts.  (I do have a secret desire to try some raw nut butters from Artisana, but that might be sometime in the future, Lord willing.)   It’s also really unique. Their Rainforest Dark Chocolate does have a chocolate taste that is easy to pick out.  It doesn’t get lost in the peanut flavor, like a few other chocolate nut butters I have tried.   Their Brown Sugar Cinnamon (since I love cinnamon) is already almost gone, and their ‘Traditional’ flavor went into so many batches of cookies, I’ve lost count.   It’s both creamy and flavorful. It drizzles well, which is a must for the morning bowls.

Would I Buy It again?

You bet I would, if God provides the funds! 🙂    This is one I would go back to, because the flavors really stand out in the HUGE world of nut butter.   I’m also really passionate about supporting local and knowing where ingredients come from, because it keeps business relational, real, and personable, all things that I think really reflect the love, compassion, and truth of Christ.

Sponsored - Philosophie Coconut Butter

4. Philosophie Coconut Butter – This business is so cute and beautiful and lovely.  I loved watching Sophie (the founder’s) videos on Instagram and her kind, happy way of sharing the way she uses her products in making nutritious food.

Why I Loved This?

I had never had coconut butter before this, so this was a new experience.  I used to be a SUPER picky child, and I didn’t like trying new foods.  By God’s sufficient grace, He has worked on me so much, and I love trying new foods now.

Coconut butter is not anything like peanut butter, so I won’t compare it to any other nut butter. It’s a class all by itself, and I love that about it.  It’s chunky, and the fun thing is that you can melt it, pour it over icecream, and it hardens on your icecream.  It’s also really fun to break this up into little bursts of flavor to put over your yogurt or smoothie bowl.  (I haven’t done it in smoothie bowls, BUT… I’m hoping to, very soon.)   This coconut butter is chunky, but it melts in your mouth when you eat it, and the Berry Bliss flavor goes well with any ‘tropical’, ‘light’ themed breakfast/dessert.

You also would love reading about the ‘spark’ that started Sophie’s story.  🙂   I think her smile will make you smile.

Would I Buy it Again?

Yes, I would probably buy a jar every 3-6 months.   It’s more of a ‘treat’ nut butter for me, so I wouldn’t buy it all the time, but it would be an occasional visitor, just cause it’s such a yummy, tropical little treat.

Buff Bake peanut butter

5.  Chocolate Peanut BUFF Bake – (I bought this jar, and I ALSO received a packet of 4 samples from Buff Bake to try.) The infamous protein peanut butter.  .  . This company has a fantastic social media game, I must say! 🙂

What did I like about this peanut butter?

It gets really creamy and spreadable when you stick it in the refrigerator.  (I discovered that last night.)  And, honestly, it was good, but it wasn’t better than the Rainforest Dark Chocolate from Nut Butter Nation.   The chocolate flavor isn’t really noticeable in it, even though it still tastes really good as a peanut butter.

I also got the ‘Snickerdoodle’ flavor, ‘White Chocolate’,  and ‘Red Velvet’ flavors to try, and my sister gave the ‘Snickerdoodle’ flavor the ‘thumbs-up.’   I have yet to try the White Chocolate, and I did try the Red Velvet.  I think it might be a matter of tastebuds, but it didn’t really strike me as a ‘red velvet taste.’   It was however, creamy and yummy as far as peanut butter goes.

Would I buy this peanut butter again?

I probably wouldn’t buy the chocolate over the Nut Butter Nation kind, because it didn’t really taste chocolatey.  I don’t want to be picky at all, because it did taste good, but it didn’t have a chocolate flavor.  I also thought that it was a bit pricey for one jar at $11.29 from Amazon Prime, but I do know that there are a lot of people who love Buff Bake too.

Sponsored - Sun Butter

6. Sun Butter (Creamy) – (Sun Butter agreed to kindly send me a jar to review, and I was so excited.  I’ve tried Sun butter before, and I’m raring to make some peanut free treats out of this.)

Why I Love this Butter?

I don’t know why, but out of all the sunflower seed butters, I’ve tried, this has the best flavor.  It is smooth.  It is creamy.  The flavor’s not really strong, but it’s definitely a ‘sunflower seed’ flavor, and it’s friendly to all people with peanut allergies.

Would I Buy it Again?

Well, I’m not allergic to peanuts, but I would definitely buy it occasionally to serve my friends treats that can’t eat peanuts.   For sunflower seed butter, it seems that it might be one of the most affordable ones out there.   The plus is that it tastes REALLY good.

I feel so blessed to have been able to review all these nut butters, and I can not end this post without adding that although I wish I could give away MORE, I do have 2 jars of nut butter to giveaway to my readers!

The jars are the ‘Hazelnut’ Nut Butter Bliss‘ and their ‘Sunflower Seed Butter from Bliss Nut Butters.

In order to enter you must comment on this post and:

1.  Tell me a food that you used to not like when you were a kid that you like now.

2.  Tell me if I’m crazy for reviewing so many nut butters… (Kind of kidding…)  🙂

The giveaway will end on May 14th, 2016.  I will announce the winner of Monday, May 16th, 2016, Lord willing!

I have to end with this beautiful song that so describes, in a beautiful way, the beauty and the realness of the love of God, that love that has plucked me from the fire and holds me everyday.

The Love of God: By Frederick Lehman

 The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

 When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song. [Refrain]

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky. [Refrain]
